The Foxhill condominium complex lies about half a mile off the mountain road almost exactly half-way between Stowe itself and the mountains. The Summer is usually warm and pleasant with a shared, heated outdoor swimming pool at Foxhill which is open from the beginning of June to the end of August. There is an alpine slide on Mount Mansfield which is open during the summer season, as well as a gondola to take you to the top of the mountain. The scenic Stowe Recreation Path (the first of its kind constructed in the US) runs for over five miles alongside the river towards the mountains. The path is used for walking, running, cycling, roller blading and even skating mothers pushing baby in the stroller. It is less than a mile from Foxhill.
Stowe is well-supplied with interesting shops, there are two supermarkets and various little convenience stores scattered along the Mountain Road, as well as a small three- studio cinema, banks and atm’s and restaurants and eating places of all categories from the restaurant at the Trapp Family Lodge to take aways. Activities include golfing, fishing, canoeing and walking etc. Everything you would expect of a first class holiday resort. From world class skiing, a magical Christmas, brilliant fall foliage and autumn colours to a fun packed summer – Stowe has it all!
The condominium at Foxhill is very spacious and on three levels descending the hillside. The entry level is in the middle with a ‘mud’ room for boots, coats and skis etc., a cloakroom, a fully equipped kitchen and spacious adjacent dining area. The lounge area is down one step and a patio door leads out onto a large ‘L’ shaped wooden deck equipped with a barbecue and picnic table. A large spiral staircase leads upstairs to two double bedrooms a bathroom and linen closet. Downstairs are two more double bedrooms, a bathroom, utility room and linen closet. All linens and towels are provided.
